“Baahubali – The Beginning” is about two brothers at war for an ancient kingdom. Also starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles, it is one of the highly successful dubbed films
S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Baahubali” has turned out to be one of the biggest grossing Indian films and now it will be screened at the upcoming 20th edition of Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). Actor Rana Daggubati says the film’s team never anticipated that it will make it so big.
“When the film was happening, we knew it would be big. But we never knew it will have such a massive impact. It has turned out to be one of the top films in the country,” Rana told IANS on the sidelines of the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week winter-festive 2015 here.
An international version of the film, which is 23 minutes shorter than the Indian theatrical version and edited by Vincent Tabaillon of “Incredible Hulk” fame, will be screened at BIFF.
“International release is coming up in a week’s time,” he said.
Rana was the showstopper for designer Anushree Reddy along with actress Amy Jackson, who will be next seen in “Singh Is Bliing” alongside Akshay Kumar.
Asked about his forthcoming projects, Rana said he is working on an action-comedy film.
“I am doing my own production venture, which will be an action comedy. But we don’t have a title yet,” he said.
“It’s a trilingual film. It will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. ‘Baahubali’ is the answer for multilinguals,” he added.

The entire mega family to be a part of Chiranjeevi’s 150th film

The entire mega family to be a part of Chiranjeevi’s 150th filmWe all know that Megastar Chiranjeevi has decided to return to his first love, films; after an eight year hiatus. There is thus considerable excitement among his fans about his 150th film.
We have now learnt that his son Ram Charan will debut as a producer with this film that he wants to produce for his father. His production will be named after his family name 'Konidela', the logo of which will be the face of Hanuman, since Chiranjeevi is one of the names of Hanuman. Telling us details of the film, Charan said, "We will begin shooting as soon as my father approves the script. And once we start shooting, we will finish the film in six months. My target is to release the film in the summer of 2016. Four top directors have called to say, 'I am here. My dates are with you.' So I am so happy that in dad's movies, people are inviting themselves.'' And while Charan has confirmed to us earlier how his father is definitely doing a cameo in his next film RC9, we asked him if he would be playing a part in his father's film. And pat came the reply, "Of course. I will do a proper dance with him though I will not do a scene as I want this movie to be just with him. I am the item number in his movie.'' Given that Chiranjeevi was the first star from his family, we asked Charan if other members of the Mega family would also be a part of the film, and he said, "Pawan Kalyan, me, Allu Arjun... all of us will be items in the film.'' And what if Chiranjeevi objects to this? Charan promptly said, "It's my production. I need to sell the movie and for that, I will do anything. How can my dad say anything? The entire Mega family will be there.'' Fans of the Mega family The entire mega family to be a part of Chiranjeevi’s 150th filmcan celebrate today.

Salman Khan Turns Bajrangi Bhaijaan In Real Life, Tries His Best To Help Geeta, The Indian Girl Stuck In Pakistan!

Salman Khan Turns Bajrangi Bhaijaan In Real Life, Tries His Best To Help Geeta, The Indian Girl Stuck In Pakistan!

Salman Khan
Salman Khan and Kabir Khan have come forward to help Geeta aka Guddy, who has been stranded in Pakistan for the last 15 years. Reports suggest that Salman has asked Kabir to look into the matter and see how they can help in finding Geeta. The Indian envoy in Pakistan met a hearing and speech-impaired Indian woman who has been stranded in the neighbouring country for the past 15 years. Leading Pakistani human rights activist Ansar Burney thanked Indian High Commissioner TCA Raghavan for the meeting. He tweeted, "Salman Khan offers to help Geeta. Asks director Kabir Khan to find out how he can help Geeta meet her family @SushmaSwaraj @MehrTarar."

Burney also called up Salman Khan to help in locating the woman's parents in India and replicate his Bajrangi Bhaijaan role in real life. "We must not leave any stone unturned to make Geeta realise there are sympathisers in India too, who are making efforts to help her reach home," he was quoted. Director Kabir Khan, in an mail to Burney, said he would try to help in whatever way he can.

The Real Iron Man. This 92-Year-Old Ex-Navy Officer Walked 10 Kms In 96 Minutes To Win India A Gold Medal

Here's another story that would make you sit up and take notice of the fact that grit and determination are ageless. Much like the 92-year-old Vallabhajosyula Sriramulu, a retired Officer in the Indian Navy, who recently won a gold medal in 10km walk at the World Masters Athletics Championships.
Vallabhajosyula Sriramulu
The annual athletics tournament for senior players, middle aged sports enthusiasts and the elderly was held in Lyon, France from August 4-16. Commander Sriramlulu was participating in the 90-94 year age group category and finished the 10km walk inan hour and 36 minutes. He also competed in the 5km walk and the 20km walk but was disqualified due to stringent race rules.
"I participated in 5km, 10km and 20km speed walk and could complete the 10km walk and get the gold. While 20km walk is my favourite I could not complete since I was disqualified from both 5km and 20km events," he was quoted as saying by The Hindu on Wednesday.
The strict rules of the competition state that while walking in the event, the walker must not have both feet in the air together at any point of time, he must ground the heel and each time the knee must lock, failing to comply will make it a run and liable for disqualification.
World Masters Athletics
The sporting meet had 8,059 participants, including 2505 women from 98 countries. India ended 34th with 2 golds with 85-year-old Skaria John Poovathinkalmattakal claiming the other medal winning the 200m Long Hurdles meet in the 85-year category. All the athletes have to shell out funds to compete on their own as there is no sponsorship.
For Sriramulu, who is a regular walker and does weight training, it is matter of great pride to win the yellow medal but to not have dignitaries present the medal was a downer for him.
"My chest swelled with pride to see the National Tricolour being hoisted at the medal award ceremony after the event, but it was disappointing to see a nondescript volunteer presenting the medal," he recalled.
Sriramulu retired from the force in 1975 and then worked for Dredging Corporation of India in the public sector. Seeing his dedication towards fitness and athletics, the then secretary of veteran sports association Tripura Sundara Rao told him to participate in senior sports events and Sriramulu has not looked back since, winning awards and laurels at the masters athletics level.
